Kids are starting school soon, and as a parent, who doesn’t want to give their kids new clothes AND all the latest and coolest gadgets and supplies.
Most parents are fortunate enough to provide those things for kids… but you might be surprised how many kids in this area will be heading to school with nothing.
That’s where you come in… listeners of 104.9 the River have been helping kids for almost a decade, but this year, Heartland Bank also wants to help make Mission Backpack bigger than ever before. We’re simply asking your family to drop-off at least one backpack filled with school supplies to any of the eleven Heartland Bank locations in Central Ohio. Every Heartland Bank location will have a special Mission Backpack collection box in their lobby through August 18th.
Our goal is for you to help us collect 1,004 backpacks to benefit our close partner, Lutheran Social Services Food Pantry — where they’ll personally hand the stuffed backpacks to thousands of kids and families they serve. Thanks for considering your part.
