As many of you are heading out for vacations—may God refresh and bless your time.Hi this is Pastor John at 1049 The River with another “Consider This”.
Most of us have forgotten something that we intended to do before we left for vacation. One husband knew that every year heading out to their vacation destination, as they were about 50 miles from home, his wife would cry out, Oh no!” I think I left the iron on. It happened every year. They would return home only to find it was unplugged. One year, the husband had anticipated what was coming. When his wife became frantic and said, I think the iron was left on…he stopped the car at the next rest stop, reached under the seat and handed his wife the iron. Have you ever misplaced the truth that God loves you? Reach under the seat, the coffee table, the bookshelf and open up God’s word and remember passages like Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. May your summer break and vacation be blessed and don’t forget that God loves you!
